Imagine being part of a team that represents your country in a prestigious event that aims to revolutionize the maritime industry through sustainability. That's exactly what Team Sea Sakthi did! This group of 15 zealous minds belonging to KCT Garage, a forum that ignites innovation and skills of students from Kumaraguru College of Technology, made history as the first and only team to represent India at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge.

Originating from a duo's bold application,the team coalesced, igniting the spirit of innovation and skill within KCT Garage. What followed was challenging but a rewarding endeavor to construct India's inaugural clean energy catamaran. Despite facing time constraints,the dedication prevailed, and Yali the catamaran named after a mythical creature gracefully sailed on the waters of Monaco in 2022, earned 6th position globally and  accolades for impactful communication.

This achievement fueled the motivation, and the team began working on the next edition of the event.Their early initiation gave them a chance to raise a hydrogen fuel cell powered catamaran, making them the pioneer from the nation. This impressive feat gained them a special jury momento, along with 6th rank globally and communication prize for two consecutive years in 2023.

And the journey has no end in the pursuit of sustainability.

DAY  0 of Monaco Energy Boat Challenge  We’ve just touched down in this beautiful principality on Saturday, and the excitement is  palpable. The jet lag hit us hard, but we powered through it, eager to dive into the Monaco  Energy Boat Challenge 2024. From Dream to Water: Testing Yali 3.0 at Ukkadam We arrived at Ukkadam with the crack of dawn, buzzing with an energy that mirrored the first rays of the rising sun. It felt like a new beginning, and in a way, it was. This wasn't just another day; it was the day our dream – Yali 3.0 – would take its first steps towards reality. The first day was a whirlwind of activity. We were like artists assembling a masterpiece, meticulously putting together the pieces of Yali 3.0 .
