EVOLVING TOWARDS YALI 3.O

The spirit of the golden eagle is one that inspires awe and power, and it’s no surprise that it has become the focal point of an exciting new project. An energy-efficient catamaran, designed with the sleek and aerodynamic design of the bald eagle in mind, is being created by a team of innovators driven by the desire to create a sustainable vessel.

But our vision extends beyond mere performance. Sustainability is at the heart of this project. That’s why the team has been working tirelessly to design the cockpit of the catamaran using natural fibers that boast an impressive weight-to-strength ratio. After rigorous testing, the team discovered that pineapple fibers were the best material for their purpose. Not only are pineapple fibers exceptionally strong and durable, but they also excel in impact resistance tests and are marine-proof, making them the perfect choice for the cockpit construction.

To enhance the pineapple fibers, the team will be integrating carbon fiber, an incredibly lightweight material that brings added strength and reinforcement to the design. Using a sandwich construction method, the layers of pineapple and carbon fiber will be meticulously molded together to create a strong and Eco-friendly cockpit.

The manufacturing process is far from over, but the foundation has been set with the initial construction of the mold using plywood for the pattern profile and minimal thermocol for filling. The next steps in the process will involve the careful coating of the pattern with the chosen composite materials, leading to the creation of the eagle-inspired cockpit.

As the project continues to evolve, it’s clear that this team of innovators is committed to bring the spirit of a sustainable ethos to the maritime industry. Stay tuned for further updates, as the team delves deeper into the remaining construction phases and reveals more about how this project is contributing to a greener future
