DAY  0 of Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 


We’ve just touched down in this beautiful principality on Saturday, and the excitement is palpable. The jet lag hit us hard, but we powered through it, eager to dive into the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2024.

Sunday: Hitting the Waters

Without missing a beat, our pilots were out on the ocean for trials. The day started early, and the anticipation was high as we prepared to test our boat against the challenging conditions of  the Monaco waters.

A highlight of the day was meeting Mr. Jacques Pastor, who was introduced to us by HE Didier Gamerdinger, the Ambassador of Monaco to India. This session was incredibly insightful. Mr. Pastor shared his extensive knowledge about the nuances of the waves and winds unique to Monaco. Our pilots learned invaluable lessons on how to make quick, strategic decisions during the races, giving us a much-needed edge.

Team Huddle: Assigning Roles and Responsibilities

After the ocean trials, we gathered for a team huddle. This was a crucial part of our day, where we discussed and shared the responsibilities for various operations and technical aspects of the competition. Effective teamwork and clear communication are vital, and this session ensured everyone is on the same page.

Evening Adventures: A Hike to the Cliff Aquarium

As the sun began to set, we took a break from our rigorous schedule to explore Monaco. We hiked to the cliff near the palace, where we visited the stunning aquarium. It was a refreshing change of pace and a great opportunity for the team to bond outside of the competition setting.

Night Briefing: Strategic Planning

We ended the day with a scheduled briefing huddle. Here, we discussed important strategies to overcome the challenges we might face in the coming days. The night was filled with thoughtful discussions and planning, ensuring we are ready to tackle anything that comes our way in this competition.

From Dream to Water: Testing Yali 3.0 at Ukkadam We arrived at Ukkadam with the crack of dawn, buzzing with an energy that mirrored the first rays of the rising sun. It felt like a new beginning, and in a way, it was. This wasn't just another day; it was the day our dream – Yali 3.0 – would take its first steps towards reality. The first day was a whirlwind of activity. We were like artists assembling a masterpiece, meticulously putting together the pieces of Yali 3.0 . The serene lake at Ukkadam was about to undergo a transformation. With a flurry of buoys, we meticulously recreated the iconic racetrack of Monaco , turning the tranquil waters into a miniature version of the famed racing environment.
